Why celebrities, sportspersons, politicians gurus etc should not be followed

Every person who has accomplished something worthwhile in life has done so by investing himself in his work. The major amount of work is behind the scenes. What we see is the image of their persona, and make an assumption that since they have accomplished so much, their words must have a degree of credibility. In our mind, we elevate them to a certain pedestal not because of their work-related achievement but because of the philosophical points of view, since they are the dots that a common man connects to. This biased thinking tampers with the individuality and might lead to brainwashing. Who doesn't like being followed, admired, and respected?

So these people might use common people to create their own good.

Opinions are not facts which can be right or wrong; they are just worded perspectives. Maybe some might be judged upon, some might be taken seriously, but if one is open to flexibility, then it's okay.

If one likes an actor, then learn acting from him, learn how he manages the work-life balance, learn patience, not his views on politics, suggestions, or how India should play cricket.

And I think there is no harm even in questioning your idols.

A wise person is not supposed to have an opinion on every topic; instead, the opinion he has shall be backed up by his work results, which brings credibility.

Positivity, spreading happiness and love should not be someone's objective
